Your Host For Tonight

You’ve probably arrived at this site because… Well, actually, if you’re reading this, there’s a higher-than-average probability that you’ve got far too much time on your hands. But welcome, nonetheless.

So, who am I?

My name is Martin Grocock. I’m nobody famous, and I don’t want to be famous. I was brought up in Nottingham, England, and I’m currently living in London (I don’t think I need to clarify that London is in England). I don’t write professionally: I maintain this blog in my free time, purely for my own amusement. Thus, all opinions I express in this blog are my own, personal views. When I write on this blog, I am not representing any other individual or organisation. Nor am I channelling any spirits. (Except, perhaps, the occasional drop of single malt.) It’s me writing. Nobody else. Do I make myself abundantly clear?

Good.

If you happen to like what I’m doing, then all the better. And if you don’t, then I’m afraid that’s tough. (Unless you have particularly good lawyers: in which case I’m your bitch.)

On a more serious note about legal matters, I will never knowingly publish anything I shouldn’t, such as content which is libellous, or which infringes the rights of any other party. But if I ever do, just drop me an email, addressed to blog at msgrocock etc., and I will deal with your request as amicably and as promptly as I can.

As for copyright: I’m not going to be too strict. All I ask for is that you treat my work with a bit of courtesy. Feel free to link back to this site without my express permission: all I ask is that you don’t do it in a way which implies that I endorse your site, or which may bring my name into disrepute. If you wish to reproduce or redistribute content I’ve produced, via any medium, please email me first and seek permission. I reserve the right to refuse permission without giving a reason, or to impose any additional conditions on usage as I see fit, but as long as I believe that your planned usage is legitimate and won’t bring my name into disrepute, then I probably won’t refuse that permission.

Right. That’s about that. Enjoy the site.
