More Musings on Twitter

Men, so the received wisdom goes, are not well-suited to multi-tasking. And as a man who sometimes experiences difficulty even in single-tasking, following a hashtag on TwitterFall during a live TV or radio broadcast can prove nightmarish, to say the least.

Tonight, Radio 4′s Moral Maze was discussing Twitter, and in particular, its place in political debate. Listeners were being asked to contribute, in real time, via the hashtag #moralmaze. (more…)

Newspaper Loyalty

It was during my university days that I started following my football team, Notts County. At around the same time, I picked the Daily Telegraph as my news organ of choice. And, much like my footballing allegiance, I have a strong sense of loyalty towards the paper.

Actually, that should read had a strong sense of loyalty. You see, I’ve just cancelled my subscription to the Telegraph. (more…)
